I own two cats, one yellow lab mix and one toy poodle puppy and am about to adopt another. i have already paid for her but she is too little to leave her mother. one day i noticed that my yellow lab mix had millions of fleas all over her. she has been on a otc flea medicine but it hasn't worked. so i have been keeping her outside. she has been itching allot and is constantly drinking her water probably because it is so hot and humid to make matters worse, i noticed them on my toy poodle puppy. i thought that he couldn't get fleas because he has hair and not fur like my yellow lab and cats. so far i have only noticed two but i think he will get more soon. i am nervous because i dont want them all over my house and i dont want my cats to get them. what sould i do.?HELP IM FREAKING OUTis there any way to keep them

we have 2 cats for over a year and NEVER had a flea. or at least not that we noticed. all of a sudden in the past month or so, they are AWFUL the cats do not go outside, but it is an infestation. i mean, you walk through the living room and have fleas all over your feet and ankles. my husband woke last night to fleas covering the bed and his legs etc. im getting exasperated as we have a 4 year old and a 1 year old, and i dont like all these fleas with the little kids whats the best way to get rid of these buggers for good? i was thinking of flea bombing, but anyone have personal experience on it? i know how they work, i dont need an explanation, just if you like the way it worked or not. any other suggestions? the cats are getting baths right before i do anything and getting flea drops on, then going to our uncles before treating the house. thanks in advance for any helpful insight thanks, im getting frontline but i need to know how get the fleas out of the house. whats the best way to clear the house out of them???

I gave my cat and dog sentenal for 4 years, There last pill was given Nov 1. They have been scratching for 2 months and the vet said they had allergies. On Sunday I discovered my dog has a tapeworm that you can only get from fleas. Two hundred dollars later they are both on deworming medicine and advantage to fight fleas. Although I don't see any fleas, and no one is being bit by the fleas accept the pets, I know my home is infested because both pets have them. What are some of the best methods for getting rid of fleas in my carpets and beds and sofas . Do I need to worry about solid surfaces and how do I know when the are gone? I don't want my pets infested again. What was the point in giving them the sentenal I wonder?
